How to Hit Every Assignment Deadline Online
If you're anything like me, you've missed a few important deadlines for your online college courses. I've been around the whole "can I please have an extension?" block, and I can testify to the fact that it is far from appealing. I always seem to do better if I get through my work on schedule, and I guarantee you will do the same. You just have to know how to hit every assignment deadline online. Here are some quick tips to help you get through your courses and their schedules with ease.
Make a Big CalendarBuy one of those huge wall calendars and put all of your important assignment due dates on it. I usually color code the assignments based on their importance so I make sure to get the most important ones. I may make tests in bright red but discussions in blue or black. You can do whatever it takes to keep yourself on schedule, but try to put your calendar somewhere you are sure to see it. This will keep you on the right track.
Complete Assignments EarlyThe idea of getting your work done early may seem almost laughable, but it is something you can do if you focus. If you make an effort to complete all of your assignments in advance, you will have room in the schedule to make up for unexpected delays. I used to do my tests for a class an hour before they were due, and it seemed like I always lost internet connection within that hour. Don't put yourself in that kind of situation.
If you commit to your schedule early on, there is no reason for you to miss your assignment deadlines. Get your head in the game, and I promise you will see an improvement in your grades.
Classes that Work Well Online
- English Composition: It is easy to write essays on your own and turn them into a professor online. You may even get a chance to use web-based resources for your essays if you have a cool instructor.
- History: All you have to do is memorize facts and take tests on them. How hard can that be online?
- College Algebra: You're basically memorizing math equations and learning how to apply numbers to them. That should not be an issue on your own.
- Economics: Econ is a mixture of math and history, both of which work well online. If you have to take it for your degree program, you shouldn't have an issue.
